On November 19-20, 2022, CHARIS France had its General Assembly at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Paris. The purpose of this Annual Assembly is to build up and nourish communion between all the realities that in France call themselves of the “Charismatic Renewal,” i.e., of this current of grace, and also to praise the Lord together, to receive the same formation and to know each other better.
There were almost 90 of us, including representatives from all the “large communities”, “small communities”, “new realities”, prayer groups, and various ministries. After a good time of praise, we had a morning of formation about the various abuses in the Church in France, and a follow-up of the last French Episcopal Assembly. All topics that strengthened us in prayer and love for each one in the Church.
In the afternoon, we received a talk on how to share the Baptism in the Spirit to the whole Church, from a Protestant woman married to a Catholic. Non-Catholics were in ten, it is a gift for us to work with them. After Mass, a prayer vigil led by the youth and elections for various mandates, we concluded these days of grace.
