On the day of Pentecost 2019, in the Paul VI Hall at the Vatican, CHARIS, an International Service body with public juridical personality, wanted by Pope Francis, began its activity.
It is an entity at the service of all expressions of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, a “current of grace” also a fruit of the Second Vatican Council. CHARIS is an instrument to promote and work for the unity of the Body of Christ.
The Moderator and the first International Service of Communion were appointed by the Pope with a three-year term. The end of this term is now approaching. In view of the General Assembly for the election of the Statutory Bodies, on October 29-31, 2023 an event will take place during which: the coordinators of the National Services of Communion CHARIS and other institutional personalities will meet in Rome and elect for the first time the Moderator and the International Service of Communion according to the CHARIS Statutes.
