The First CHARIS Worldwide Intercessors’ Conference will be held in Yamoussoukro, Cote d’Ivoire from 2 to 5 May, 2023. The theme of the Conference is “For such a TIME AS THIS“.
With the passage of time, CHARIS has been sensing the need to intensify intercession in response to ‘the signs of the time’ (Lk 12: 54-56). We cannot “keep silence at such a time as this” (Esther 4:14). We sense that the intercessors have a key role that is urgent and prophetic.
During the Conference we have planned teachings, testimonies, group workshops and Jericho prayer besides praise and worship, Eucharistic celebrations and adoration. As a follow up of the Conference we intend to work on networking of intercession across the world under the banner of CHARIS. It is also proposed to organize prophetic intercession training programs in different parts of the world. We expect about 1200 intercessors from about 60 countries to participate in the event.
Resource persons at the Conference will be Archbishop Francis Kalist (India), Episcopal Adviser to the CCR in India; Pino Scafuro (Argentina) CHARIS Moderator; Cyril John (India), CISC member and Coordinator of CHARIS Intercession Commission; Sheny De Gongora (Guatemala), CISC member and CHARIS Intercession Commission member; Dr Clement Akobe (Cote D’Ivoire), Founder, Mother of Divine Love Community; Jean Christophe Sakiti (Togo), CISC member and CHARIS French Speaking representative from Africa; Andres Arango (USA), CISC member and Coordinator of Continental Service of Communion Americas; Fred Mawanda (Uganda), CISC member representing English speaking Africa & Brian Sullivan (Canada), Coordinator CHARIS National Service of Communion.
The Conference will be a time of collective discernment of what the Lord is speaking to us in the present time through listening adoration, prophesies and insights. The main mission of CHARIS Intercessors will be to support the Holy Father and the Church in these challenging times especially as we are preparing for the Great Jubilee that is falling in 2033. It is our prayer that each of the participants may experience a New Pentecost during this Conference and we may be sent forth in the power of the Spirit for the mission to which the Lord has called us.
