To the International Association of the Charismatic Renewal Servants of Christ Alive
Dear Brothers of Servants of Christ Alive,
I wish to express my closeness to you at this time when we celebrate the departure of Fr. Michele Vassallo.
I had the privilege of knowing Fr. Michele and always appreciated his presence at all CHARIS initiatives, as well as his deep desire to live communion with all. May his example be an incentive for all of us to build this stream of grace, walking together, united in diversity and valuing the charisms of each one.
Thank you, Father Michele, for having spent yourself in the proclamation of the Living Christ and for having given your life for making the action of the Holy Spirit known to the world. May the seed you sowed grow abundantly to bear even more fruit for the Church of God, which you loved with your life entirely given.
Father Michele, the entire Charismatic Renewal feels the emptiness of your absence, but we are certain that now more than ever you will be with us to intercede so that we may be ever more committed to spreading the Baptism in the Holy Spirit to all.
May you be accompanied by all of us on this your final journey towards eternity.
