Participants of the Dutch Christian Forum 2025 in Helvoirt

On June 25 and 26, around sixty leaders from various Christian churches and interchurch organizations in the Netherlands and Flanders gathered in Helvoirt for the annual Dutch Christian Forum (NCF) — a two-day retreat marked by connection, reflection, and shared faith.

The NCF brings together participants from a wide range of Christian traditions — from Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox churches to Evangelical, Pentecostal, and migrant communities. It provides a unique space where leaders can grow in mutual understanding, explore shared challenges, and listen together to what the Holy Spirit may be saying to the churches today.

A special highlight this year was the participation of 25 young leaders from diverse church backgrounds who joined the gathering on the second day. Their presence brought fresh energy and perspective, creating a valuable space for mutual learning and intergenerational exchange with the more established leaders.

More than titles or theological degrees, this forum values heart-to-heart encounters. Participants meet in small groups for honest conversations, prayer, and encouragement. Worship is central to the gathering, with moments of shared prayer and praise drawing people closer to one another and to God.

The NCF is grounded in the belief that while we cannot do everything together, what we can do together, we want to do together. It is a hopeful sign of what unity in diversity can look like in the body of Christ today.
