About CHARIS

“I am particularly grateful that my request to you, two years ago, to give the worldwide Charismatic Renewal a single international service based here, has begun to take concrete shape… It is the first step, and others will follow, but soon the unity, the work of the Holy Spirit, will be a reality. “I make all things new”, says the Lord (Rev 21:5).” Pope Francis, Pentecost Vigil of Prayer Address (June 4, 2017)

Our Mission & Vision

CHARIS is a service of communion among all the Catholic Renewal expressions around the world

which currently number more than 120 million Catholics living the experience of baptism in the Spirit through prayer groups, communities, evangelization schools and various communication networks and ministries. CHARIS’s Statutes highlight the importance of promoting the grace of baptism in the Spirit, activities for the unity of Christians, service to the needy and participation in the evangelizing mission of the Church.

CHARIS is a service established by the Holy See through The Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life as a public juridical person.
