From 13 to 16 August 2026, Willemstad, on the Caribbean island of Curaçao, hosted a Prophetic Intercession Conference that brought together 330 participants for four days of prayer, formation and communion.
The gathering was led by Cyril John, a member of the CISC and Coordinator of the CHARIS Intercession Commission. The Conference was organized by the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Curaçao, with Shirley Martes and her team, under the guidance of their Spiritual Adviser, Deacon Richard Colastica.
Curaçao, an island in the southern Caribbean and a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, with a population of approximately 158,000, welcomed 330 people for an intense experience of faith and intercession.
The four days included praise and worship, teachings, group workshops, Eucharistic Adoration and celebrations of Holy Mass, offering participants opportunities for formation and, above all, spaces for prayer and listening to the Holy Spirit.
A particularly significant moment was the Jericho Prayer. Over the course of seven rounds, the participants raised their prayers together, entrusting to the Lord the nation, the Church, families and the Catholic Charismatic Renewal.
It was an act of faith and perseverance that expressed the heart of the entire Conference: to intercede means to stand in the gap, bringing before God the lives of peoples, the Church and families, with the confidence that prayer can open new paths for the action of the Holy Spirit.
The experience in Curaçao thus becomes another sign of the network of intercession that continues to grow in different parts of the world: men and women called to pray, listen and serve, so that the current of grace of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal may continue to bring life and hope to the Church and the world.
