The New Life in the Spirit Seminar is a journey in search of awareness of the action of the Spirit and of baptismal grace, a path of New Life in the Holy Spirit in which to rediscover the power of the Sacraments, vital adherence to the Word of God, the exercise of charisms, fraternal life, witness, and mission.
To experience a new way of being Christian and of living in the Church, a deeper participation in the sacramental life, a desire for formation, a longing for fraternal life, and a willingness to witness and evangelize.
With this goal in mind, and at the request of Pope Francis, CHARIS has updated the New Life in the Spirit Seminar to adapt it to today’s fast-paced times and allow the Lord to pour out His love on all who desire to participate. The Seminar is a time in which God performs a marvelous work of new birth for many brothers and sisters.
CHARIS desires to contribute to the renewal of the hearts of the faithful.
The Good News must be proclaimed with the power of the Holy Spirit. In order to offer as many people as possible around the world the opportunity to experience the Holy Spirit during the period between Easter and Pentecost 2025, the New Life in the Spirit Seminar will be available free of charge to everyone, this year in English only.
The course is divided into nine meetings, each consisting of a teaching and a personal-pastoral testimony on the theme of the day.
Pope Francis has spoken many times about the need to generously share with everyone the experience of baptism in the Holy Spirit, and about the importance of the New Life in the Spirit Seminar, reiterating this in particular during the audience on November 4, 2023.
The goal of this project is that many may discover the love of Jesus Christ through a personal encounter with the Savior.
