On 12 November, at the meeting of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), our dearest Monsignor Peter Leslie Smith, ecclesiastical advisor to CHARIS and auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Portland, Oregon, was elected, along with Bishop Daniel J. Felton of the Diocese of Duluth, as Chairman-elect of the Committee on Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs.
